As an Industrial Maintenance Engineer, you will carry out the following on industrial installations: basic commissioning/technical commissioning, fault
finding and diagnostics, and electrical and mechanical routine maintenance. You will have the ability to read schematics and cable schedules, and to
design and make modifications to basic control systems with an understanding of the appropriate Regulations and Standards to which GES Group work.
Your role will include organising jobs (and other Engineers/Apprentices assigned to the job) to ensure work is completed on-time, in budget, and to a suitable standard, while complying with all site rules and attending Site Inductions, when necessary.
You will communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and colleagues; including providing good levels of customer service and promoting the company by distributing promotional materials.
This role is permanent full time (38 hours p/w) with potential for overtime.
29 days holiday per year, inclusive of 8 statutory holidays.

The successful applicant will be time-served in an Engineering/Electrical discipline, and/or qualified to a minimum of an NVQ L3 Diploma in an Engineering/Electrical discipline. The successful applicant will be experienced in both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks, with a proven background and good level of electrical and mechanical knowledge.
The successful applicant will have a self-motivated approach to maintenance, with the ability to deal with machine breakdown effectively, and must have strong problem solving abilities, driven by a “right first time” approach. Strong fault-finding and diagnostics skills are key, with the ability to read schematics. The successful applicant must be able to provide cover for 24 hour call-out on a rota basis.
Must have full driving license and ability to travel to customer sites.
Knowledge and understanding of PLC and VSD systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and electrical drawing packages (AutoCAD, XElec etc.) and Microsoft Office packages are all desirable.
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in an Electrical Engineering/Industrial Electrician maintenance role. Strong applicants with less experience may by considered upon application.
