As a Panel Builder you will be based at GES Automation, Ballymena, using existing and new electrical product ranges to manufacture electrical distribution and control panels, according to specified designs.
This role is permanent full time (38 hours p/w) with potential for overtime, and 29 days holiday per year, inclusive of 8 statutory holidays.

Minimum qualification of an NVQ L3, or equivalent, in a relative subject such as Electrical Engineering, is required. The successful candidate will have key skills and experience in all aspects of panel building, including:
Manufacturing and wiring of power distribution panels and control panels complying with the project specification, including copper work
Reading and understanding electrical wiring and mechanical layout drawings
The ability to perform basic mechanical tasks such as measuring, cutting (hand tools), drilling, fixing and basic assembly work
The ability to perform electrical tasks such as cutting, stripping, and crimping cables and selecting electrical components
The ability to test and commission panels and electrical control systems, with experience of making modifications to panel drawings and designs, as and when required.
The successful candidate will be flexible and self-motivated, with the ability to work in a team as well as independently. The role may involve installation and site-based work from time-to-time, so the successful applicant will need to hold a full driving license, with the ability to travel to customer sites.
Knowledge and understanding of PLC and VSD systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and electrical drawing packages (AutoCAD, XElec etc.) and Microsoft Office packages are all desirable. Experience with BMS is also desirable.
GES Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Panel Builder to join our growing team of Engineers in our GES Automation division, based in Ballymena. A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable. However, strong applicants with less experience may by considered upon application.
